As I mentioned in my previous post I ended up making a few sympathy and get well cards to add some variety to my card stash. It is always handy to have these type of cards on hand as you just never know when they could be needed. I just recently lost a cousin to a horrible cancer disease. My cousin was just such an outgoing person and he loved life, his family and just everything in general. But we can be sure that he is now in peace and no longer suffering anymore.
I have a couple of different cards to show you, the first one here is a Sympathy card:-
I have chosen Not Quite Navy as the base of my card followed by Very Vanilla. I have used Certainly Celery as the base of the mat piece followed by the polka dot paper. I have stamped my flower image with Certainly Celery, Baja Breeze and Not Quite Navy. This is then layered onto a piece of Not Quite Navy. It is then all finished off with a lovely chocolate ribbon, tied with a celery bow.
My next card is a Get Well card:-
Now for this card I have chosen Kiwi Kiss, Kraft (Crumb Cake), Very Vanilla and Elegant Eggplant. I just absolutely loved this colour combo even though Kiwi Kiss is no longer available I still have a fair bit in my stash as it is one of my favourite greens. I have to add in here that I also used River Rock to stamp the big flower petals. I then stamped Elegant Eggplant over the top of them.I was inspired by a gorgeous card by my lovely friend Karen Thomas and you can see her inspiration card here. I didn't change it too much as I just loved Karen's card when I first spied it on her blog and have had it saved to my computer for a one day card.
Anyway, I am off to do some more packing. We are heading to Brisbane to catch up with my husband's family. It will be the first time in a very long time that both of his sisters and brother will be in the same place at the same time!!!
Happy stamping,

More gorgeous cards! Love both of these, especially the bottom one with the flower. That would be perfect for any occasion!
