Birthday Cards

I made these two cards yesterday for friends who are celebrating birthdays today. A big hi to Jane and Tina. I decided to make some cards and then was informed of two birthdays for today so the cards I made and gave them were hot off the press! I also wanted to have a play with my Eastern Blooms set which I hadn't had a chance to bring out over the holidays. Yay, kids back to school today!!

This first card was inspired by this card I found on Splitcoaststampers site here .

Cardstock: Stampin' Up! Whisper White, Regal Rose and Rose Red; WorldWin Double Mates Grassy Green

One of a Kind

This would have been one of my first cards made with my One of a Kind set. I love the versatility of this set and can change the whole look by changing the middle insert of your flower. I had a thing for using orange and green at the time and found some matching scrap that blended in perfectly. I was also limited by what stamp pads I had at the time as well. Once again going for the oranges, greens and pinks.

I don't know why but I kind of thought this card would suit an elderly lady. It just has that old-fashioned look.

Will have to work on getting my photos straight, must have a crooked eye!

Cardstock: Stampin' Up! Only Orange, Gable Green and Whisper White

Paper: KaiserCraft - Imagine (Suppose)

Stamps: Stampin' Up! One of a Kind

Inks: Stampin' Up! Pink Passion, Pumpkin Pie, Green Galore

Embellishments: Pink ribbon, buckle brad

Snappy Birthday

When I saw the Crab and Company set I just had to have it!!! It is sooo cute. At the time of making this card I was using up some of my scraps of paper, hence why not a lot of Stampin' Up! used on this card, just the stamp set.

This is one of my first attempts at watercolouring using an aqua painter. Have always done my watercolouring previously with a paintbrush dipped in water. As they say we learn something new every day!!

Anyway here is the card:-

Almost makes you want to go to the beach!!

Carstock: Unknown blue cardstock, Stampin' Up! Whisper White

Paper: EK Success - A Day at the Beach (Beach Bum)

Inks: Black StazOn, Stampin' Up! Tempting Turquoise

Embellishments: "my inspirations - yellow ribbon", eyelet, button

Other: Watercolour pencils

Emily's Card

This is just a quick post to show off a card made by my daughter, Emily. She was so proud of it and wanted me to put it on my blog. So here is her beautiful card:-

Isn't she clever!

Wild About You

I just love the colours of this card, which I believe may have been a colour challenge from some time ago. I have a thing for purple, orange and teal, they work together beautifully.

Will definitely have to get myself some packs of these colours.
