Hello Birdie

My lovely friend and stamping partner in crime, Karen, came around the other day and we had a very productive day card making. Although I can never keep up with Karen I ended up making four cards for the morning.

I just love the Bird punch so here is a card I made using it:-

Believe it or not, I still don't have the gorgeous Baroque Motifs set yet so a big thank you for Karen for the use of it. I was happy with this card when it all came together. I am also in love with the new Rich Razzleberry paper, the colour is absolutely gorgeous.

Happy Stamping,

Just Add Ink - Challenge #13

The Just Add Ink girls have a gorgeous colour challenge on at the moment and I thought I would give it a try. I even managed to scrape up a small piece of Barely Banana!!!

The colours are:-

Aren't they just gorgeous together!!

Here is my creation using these colours although I only had enough Barely Banana to punch out my birdie and I used So Saffron ribbon:-

Don't look too closely but I don't think my wheeling on the bottom is too straight!! I am just loving this new punch right now.

Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Moments = Presents

Good morning to you all!! Well I have been on a roll of late and have been making quite a few cards over the past couple of weeks and thought I would start sharing.

The card for today was another CASE from the lovely blog of Mary Fish (Stampin' Pretty) and you can find the inspiration card here. For some reason the colours stood out which is quite strange because I am not a big fan of anything yellow and brown together (reminds me too much of an old kitchen we used to have when I was a kid!!)

Well without further ado here it is:-
As you can see the papers are quite a mixture, which was great for using up the ever-growing pile of scraps. I punched out the flowers from the Boho Blossoms punch and popped a brad in the middle.

Well today I am going to try and make some more cards for my committment to a yahoo group I am in and when I am done I hope to be able to sit back and relax with the (are you ready for this!!!) "New Moon - Twilight saga". I have been itching to watch it since I bought it yesterday!!!
Happy stamping :)

The Bold and the Bright

Wow, as the title says, this card is very bold and bright and not my normal style at all!! I just love the For Everything stamp set and decided to do a bit of caseing from the previous Summer Mini catty for this set pictured on page 11.

I have changed it a bit, as you do, and have come up with this variation:-

I even managed to use the new Chit Chat Rub-Ons. This card was fun to use and I really wanted to use the very bright Kaleidoscope papers, hence the colours of my card!!! I just love the little bird in this set, he/she is so cute.

Lovely Cards By My Lovely Em

I have to start off this post by making an apology!! I mentioned on a comment I had posted on Jodene's blog that my daughter didn't stamp much with me anymore as she had such a busy social life. Well what do you know, she decided to make some cards with me over the Easter weekend (bored I think!!) and prove me wrong.

So I have to show you her lovely creations she made with the gorgeous Butterfly Prints set and the butterfly punch. She made four cards using Vanilla as the base and then made them in different styles by adding one other colour to each card.

So without further ado here they are:-

I think she did a great job. Em now says that Vanilla is her favourite base colour to use from now on. Let's hope she can spend some more time with me and make lovely cards. I really enjoyed this time we spent together. She will be excited when I show her my blog today, love you Em :)

New Arrival

My husband's nephew and his partner had a gorgeous baby boy born on the 3rd April and I made them a card to congratulate them on his birth. He was born the day before my youngest son's birthday so I am sure I won't forget his. A big congratulations to Darryl & Emma.

Here is the card:-

This is the first time I have used this set as a rattle and I was happy with the card in the end, although it did take me a while to decide how I was going to make it!!!

Inkspiration Colour Challenge #20

As soon as I saw this beautiful colour combination I just knew I would have to have a play. The stamp set Fifth Avenue Floral stood out for me with this colour combo. It has been a while since I entered a Makeesha Challenge so here goes.

Here is the colour combo:-

And here is my entry:-It's a bit hard to tell in the photo but the flower is stamped in Chocolate Chip. Now to just go and link it up with Makeesha's blog which you can find here.
Thanks for stopping by.

A Birthday Boy

A Happy Easter to everyone out there, hoping you enjoy your day!! We have a special birthday today for our youngest son who is 3 today!!! I don't think he realises that it is his birthday yet, more interested in the chocolate!!!

Anyway I made him a couple of cards for his birthday, one from Mummy & Daddy and the other from his brothers and sister. I always keep the kids cards in their special box so they can always look at them in years to come. It is quite interesting to see the change in my stamping style too.

The first one is from Mummy & Daddy:-

This next one is from his brothers and sister:-

It's a pretty colourful truck, never seen one like that before!!! I am sure he is going to have a great day!!!

Some Easter Baskets

I thought it was about time I showcased some Easter baskets I had managed to whip up. I ended up using two different designs, one fitting a small packet of little eggs and the other one three medium sized eggs.

This one here I made for my lovely friend, Karen Thomas, who spoilt me by the way, and believe it or not I still have three of the chocolates out of four, not bad if I say so. The kids haven't even managed to find them yet (even though they are in the fridge!!).

Here it is:-

This was such an easy basket to make and you can find the template here belonging to Mel Stampz. I changed mine a bit by not making it so fancy and also added a handle.

The next couple of baskets are using the same template and I made them for my lovely neighbour and her daughter and the other one I made for my husband's office girls. The poor girls were salivating over a "guess how many eggs" competition they have running at the moment so I thought I would put them out of their misery and give them ones they can actually eat!!!

This one is for my lovely neighbour, Jane, and her daughter.

Here is the one for the office girls.

The next two baskets I made for my son's teachers. They are made from Makeesha's tutorial which you can find here.

I must apologise for the "not so nice" pics as I was taking these photos at night and not with a very good light. As usual I was leaving things until the last minute as I wanted to hand them out today!!!

Well there we have it, my Easter basket treats, now to go and do my own Easter shopping!!
