A Happy Mother's Day

I hope all of the Mothers out there had a great day yesterday. I know I was very spoilt for the day. My daughter gave me a slow cooker which I can't wait to try out. I also received Julie Goodwin's recipe book (she was the first winner of Master Chef) and a beautiful ladybug charm for my bracelet.

Julie's recipe book is just amazing, I will definitely be trying most of them (I love using my family as guinea pigs when I'm trying new things!! - although it is an idea to have something else on hand just in case).

I was most surprised with my middle son's choice of gifts that he bought for me from his school Mother's Day stall (should give him $10 more often!!). He came home with a necklace/earring set, a coffee mug filled with all sorts of coffee delights, some bath salts and a bath bomb and also a cute little crystal flower hanger. Wow, a very spoilt Mum. My eldest son made me a lovely chocolate cake as well and he did a great job with it as well as the icing, yummy!!!

Anyway on with the show and tell - my mum's mother's day card which was almost completely cased from the very lovely Nikki Stalker which you can find here but I decided to make mine a full size card.

It's not the best of photos as I tried taking this inside because it was too windy on my back table. The card base is made with Not Quite Navy and I used the very quick and easy Manhattan Flower embossing folder with my Big Shot.

We had my parent's come over for dinner last night and it was really nice to have the both of us Mums not having to do anything.

Happy Stamping

Beautiful card Karen! I am so glad you got spoiled, you deserve it!

I LOVE my slow cooker and use it a few times a week now, especially since they have bought out all those great slow cooker recipe bases at the supermarket ;)
